Pr. P. T. Thomas was born on November 8, 1953, in Kanjiramnilkunnathil House, Mezhuveli, Pathanamthita District, as the son of Eapen Abraham & Thankamma Abraham. He maintained an excellent academic record throughout his education journey. In 1976, he post-graduated in English Language and Literature from the University of Kerala. 

Responding to a calling for Evangelistic ministry, he joined the India Every Home Crusade in 1977. He served in Chennai for three years & then moved to Delhi in January 1980, wherein he travelled extensively across North India, witnessing for the Gospel. During those years, he also pursued his Bachelor of Divinity (BD) studies as a distance education student at Union Biblical Seminary. 

In 1986, he voluntarily resigned from the South Asia Office from the Manager position and returned to Kerala. Settling in Kottayam, he continued his ministry as an itinerant evangelist and Bible teacher. In January 2009, he was ordained as a minister by the General Council of the Indian Pentecostal Church of God. 

His wife, Susan (who served as Assistant Administrative Officer at the Bible Society of India, Kerala Auxiliary), and their children—Dr. Kripa & Dr. Benjamin Ramacha, Karun(Chris) & Steffy Thomas—along with grandchildren Anna Maria Ramacha, Joseph Benjamin Ramacha, Sarah Steffy Thomas, and Stephen Karun Thomas complete his family.
